WHY ARE WE BANKRUPT?

I realize this is a complex problem. I would not want to live in the countries that these people are escaping from, under the conditions that they are living in, but they have got to come in legally and become citizens in the lawful way. We cannot keep paying for people who are not helping to pay back into the system too.

Criminal charges against WHO,UN & big Pharma for Bioterrorism & Intent to Commit Mass Murder.

As the anticipated July release date for Baxter's A/H1N1 flu pandemic vaccine approaches, an Austrian investigative journalist is warning the world that the greatest crime in the history of humanity is underway.

Jane Burgermeister has recently filed criminal charges with the FBI against the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations (UN), and several of the highest ranking government and corporate officials concerning bioterrorism and attempts to commit mass murder. She has also prepared an injunction against forced vaccination which is being filed in America. These actions follow her charges filed in April against Baxter AG and Avir Green Hills Biotechnology of Austria for producing contaminated bird flu vaccine, alleging this was a deliberate act to cause and profit from a pandemic.

Summary of claims and allegations filed with FBI in Austria on June 10, 2009

In her charges, Burgermeister presents evidence of acts of bioterrorism that is in violation of U.S. law by a group operating within the U.S. under the direction of international bankers who control the Federal Reserve, as well as WHO, UN and NATO. This bioterrorism is for the purpose of carrying out a mass genocide against the U.S. population by use of a genetically engineered flu pandemic virus with the intent of causing death. This group has annexed high government offices in the U.S.

Specifically, evidence is presented that the defendants, Barack Obama, President of the U.S, David Nabarro, UN System Coordinator for Influenza, Margaret Chan, Director-General of WHO, Kathleen Sibelius, Secretary of Department of Health and Human Services, Janet Napolitano, Secretary of Department of Homeland Security, David de Rotschild, banker, David Rockefeller, banker, George Soros, banker, Werner Faymann, Chancellor of Austria, and Alois Stoger, Austrian Health Minister, among others, are part of this international corporate criminal syndicate which has developed, produced, stockpiled and employed biological weapons to eliminate the population of the U.S. and other countries for financial and political gain.

The charges contend that these defendants conspired with each other and others to devise, fund and participate in the final phase of the implementation of a covert international bioweapons program involving the pharmaceutical companies Baxter and Novartis. They did this by bioengineering and then releasing lethal biological agents, specifically the "bird flu" virus and the "swine flu virus" in order to have a pretext to implement a forced mass vaccination program which would be the means of administering a toxic biological agent to cause death and injury to the people of the U.S. This action is in direct violation of the Biological Weapons Anti-terrorism Act.

Burgermeister's charges include evidence that Baxter AG, Austrian subsidiary of Baxter International, deliberately sent out 72 kilos of live bird flu virus, supplied by the WHO in the winter of 2009 to 16 laboratories in four counties. She claims this evidence offers clear proof that the pharmaceutical companies and international government agencies themselves are actively engaged in producing, developing, manufacturing and distributing biological agents classified as the most deadly bioweapons on earth in order to trigger a pandemic and cause mass death.

A Thrill Is Not Running Down My Leg

It's come to my attention that "bad things happen to good people,"
but in the case of Barack Obama, who knew that the 59 million people
who managed to buck the influence of ACORN and withhold their
allegiance would have it so bad. I tried during the campaign to
dissent, to assert to whomever would listen that just because McCain,
with his caved-in skull, rejected "the politics of personal
destruction," didn't mean that Obama lacked socialist flair. But time
after time, I was told "it's not true." Friend after friend threw
Bush in my face, corroborating anger with articles from Rolling Stone
(that icon of journalism) and Obama stickers on my car. Now, when I
see those friends (rarely), the conversation is shallow ("How are
you?" "How do you think I am!"), and awkwardness, where before there
was ease, engenders the atmosphere of a dental office waiting room.
Do I miss their lockstep, head-in-the-clouds "kindness"?
Not really—you can't help people who support spending to end debt,
lying to pass laws, and yelling to mute facts. The other day, I
passed a liberal getting out of his car. A Volvo (what else?), the
bumper sported anti-Bush stickers, and in passing, I asked how he
thought the president was doing. His answer? First, he used
"impossible" to delineate the challenge of the office, but, in his
view, Obama and his family were "wonderful." He particularly liked
that he'd planted a garden at the White House.
That's right—nothing on the passing of an unread bill
(Waxman-Markley) that destroys our ability to compete against China,
nothing on a rogue dictator (Ahmadinejad) getting a pass after slaying
protestors of a fixed election, nothing on single-payer health care
from the Haywire Kooks who send tax dollars to corpses…. No, the
thing that stuck out, and mattered, was herbs. Herbs.
I was reminded of the quote, "The hottest place in Hell is reserved
for those who remain neutral in times of moral struggle" (Martin
Luther King Jr.) and saw this soft-hearted, "kumbayah"-singing Dem
spoon-tarring roofs while draped in the flag. Indeed, with such
sweeping legislation being jammed down the throats (and wallets) of
the American people in the hope that ignorance of the president's
ideology will foster subservience to bureaucratic control, it's
difficult to argue against "moral struggle," harder still to believe
that the Garden of Eden doesn't have roots pointed toward Hell.
That said, he was "nice." So nice (hateful bumper sticker
notwithstanding) that I imagined Hizb-ut Tahrir, the terrorist
organization that recently met at the Oak Park Hilton to discuss "The
End of Democracy" and "The Rise of Islam in America," inviting him to
join such prestigious alums as Khalid Sheik Mohammed, the mastermind
of 9-11, and Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, now dead (thanks to the man on the
bumper-sticker), in an effort to bring Caliphate to his hometown.
Caliphate, for those who aren't Islamic wack-jobs whose goal is to
make every man, woman and child "subservient to Allah," would depress
home prices even further and, in all likelihood, have an adverse
effect on the timely production of "American Idol" come fall.
Unlikely? Granted…. But in the era of Hope and Change, political
correctness accommodates terror, while big, amorphous, indefinable
concepts— "renewable energy," "climate change," "universal
coverage"—flout detail. Why bother? The gamut of challenges facing
the nation can be summarized not in educational minutiae but in
strolling minstrels "whistling past the graveyard" to the new national
anthem, "Slip-sliding Away."
Question. Does anyone, having considered this man, believe he
comprehends (or cares to comprehend) proposed legislation that may
CRIMINALIZE food-gardening? That's right, after you retrieve your
jaw, know that HR 875, The Food Safety Modernization Act, may limit
food-growing privileges to corporate giants whose lobbying efforts can
be traced to Monsanto (Rosa DeLauro, D-CN, the bill's sponsor, is
married to Stan Greenberg, a political strategist and Monsanto
client). The legislation seeks to destroy, under the guise of "food
safety," the fundamental right to live off the land, free of
corporatism, and provide for oneself. Who sponsors the bill?
Democrats. (Forty-two of them, not a single Republican.) Who is the
F.D.A.'s de facto Food Czar? Why none other than Michael Taylor,
former executive and chief lobbyist for…. Monsanto! Foisted in the
onerous lawyerese (section 206) are the conforming requirements of
"food production facilities." Nebulous and, if you'll excuse the
expression, "full of fertilizer," "food production facility" is
purposely vague. Less vague is the consequence of non-compliance.
Section 402:

The Administrator shall have the authority to administratively detain
and seize any food regulated under this Act that the Administrator has
reason to believe is unsafe, is adulterated, or otherwise fails to
meet the regulation of the food safety law.

Also from section 402:
The Administrator shall provide by regulation for procedures to
institute a seizure action on an expedited basis with respect to
perishable food.

Perishable food? Last time I checked, ALL food was perishable. One
is left wonder to what degree of compliance the White House garden may
be subjected. It is, after all, a "food production facility."
A chill, not a thrill, is running down my leg.

Maricopa County was spending approx. $18
Million dollars a year on stray animals, like cats and dogs.
Sheriff Joe offered to take the department over, and the County Supervisors said okay.

The animal shelters are now all staffed and operated by prisoners..
They feed and care for the strays. Every animal in his care is taken out and walked twice daily. He now has prisoners who are experts in animal nutrition and behavior. They give great classes for anyone who'd like to adopt an animal. He has literally taken stray dogs off the street, given them to the care of prisoners, and had them place in dog shows.

The best part? His budget for the entire department is now under
$3 million. Teresa and I adopted a Weimaraner from a Maricopa County shelter two years ago. He was neutered, and current on all shots, in great health, and even had a microchip inserted the day we got him. Cost us $78.

The prisoners get the benefit of about $0.28 an hour for working, but most would work for free, just to be out of their cells for the day. Most of his budget is for utilities, building maintenance, etc. He pays the prisoners out of the fees collected for adopted animals.

I have long wondered when the rest of the country would take a look at the way he runs the jail system, and copy some of his ideas. He has a huge farm, donated to the county years ago, where inmates can work, and they grow most of their own fresh vegetables and food, doing all the work and harvesting by hand. He has a pretty good sized hog farm, which provides meat, and fertilizer. It fertilizes the Christmas tree nursery, where prisoners work, and you can buy a living Christmas tree for $6 - $8 for the Holidays, and plant it later. We have six trees in our yard from the Prison.

Yup, he was reelected last year with 83% of the vote.
Now he's in trouble with the ACLU again. He
Painted all his buses and vehicles with a mural, that has a special
Hotline phone number painted on it, where you can call and report
Suspected illegal aliens.. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement wasn't doing enough in his eyes, so he had 40 deputies trained specifically for enforcing immigration laws, started up his hotline, and bought 4 new buses just for hauling folks back to the border.. He's kind of a 'Git-R Dun' kind of Sheriff..

Maybe if all prisons were like this one there would be a lot less crime and/or repeat offenders. Criminals should be punished for their crimes - not live in luxury until it's time for their parole, only to go out and commit another crime so they can get back in to live on taxpayers money and enjoy things taxpayers can't afford to have for themselves.

Look and Learn ~ A Vision of George Washington ~

The father of our country, George Washington, was a man of prayer. Many of us have read of how he went to the thicket many times to pray during the winter his army was at Valley Forge. However, little publicity has been give to the vision and prophecy he received at that time.

The account of this vision was given in 1859 by an old soldier. He gave it to a writer, Wesley Bradshaw, who published it. In the vision God revealed to George Washington that three great perils would come upon the republic. He was given to know that America was going through the first peril at that time. The old soldier who told the story of the vision said the nation would soon see the account verified by the second peril descending upon the land.

We give the account here as printed in the U.S. war veterans paper The National Tribune, in December 1880. The National Tribune became, "The Stars and Stripes", and this article was later reprinted in that publication.

I do not know whether it is owing to the anxiety of my mind, or what, but this afternoon, as I was sitting at this table engaging in preparing a dispatch, something in the apartment seemed to disturb me. Looking up, I beheld standing opposite to me a singularly beautiful being. So astonished was I, for I had given strict orders not to be disturbed that it was some moments before I found language to inquire the cause of the visit. A second, a third, and even a fourth time did I repeat my question, but received no answer from my mysterious visitor except a slight raising of the eyes.

By this time I felt strange sensations spreading through me. I would have risen but the riveted gaze of the being before me rendered volition impossible. I tried once more to speak, but my tongue became useless, as if paralyzed. A new influence, mysterious, potent, irresistible, took possession of me. All I could do was to gaze steadily, vacantly at my unknown visitor.

Gradually the surrounding atmosphere seemed to fill with sensations, and grew luminous. Everything about me seemed to rarefy, the mysterious visitor also becoming more airy and yet more distinct to my sight than before. I began to feel as one dying, or rather to experience the sensations I sometimes imagine accompanying death. I did not think, I did not reason, I did not move. All were alike impossible. I was only conscious of gazing fixedly, vacantly on my companion.

Presently I heard a voice say,

"Son of the Republic, look and learn,"

while at the same time my visitor extended an arm eastward. I now beheld a heavy white vapor at some distance rising fold upon fold. This gradually dissipated, and I looked upon the strange scene. Before me lay, out in one vast plain all the countries of the world -- Europe, Asia, Africa, and America. I saw rolling and tossing between Europe and America lay billows of the Atlantic, and between Asia and America lay the Pacific.

"Son of the Republic", said the same mysterious voice as before,

"Look and learn."

At that moment I beheld a dark shadowy being, like an angel, standing, or rather floating in mid-air, between Europe and America. Dipping water out of the ocean in the hollow of each hand, he sprinkled some upon America with his right hand, while with his left he cast some over Europe. Immediately a cloud arose from these countries and joined in mid-ocean. For awhile it remained stationary, and then it moved slowly westward, until it enveloped America in its murky folds. Sharp flashed of lightning gleamed through at intervals, and I heard the smothered groans and cries of the American People.

A second time the angel dipped water from the ocean and sprinkled it out as before. The dark cloud drew back to the ocean, in whose heaving billows it sank from view.

A third time I heard the mysterious voice saying,

"Son of the Republic, look and learn."

I cast my eyes upon America and beheld villages and town and cities spring up one right after another until the whole land from the Atlantic to the Pacific was dotted with them. Again, I heard the mysterious voice say,

"Son of the Republic, the end of the century cometh, look and learn."

And this time a dark shadowy angel turned his face southward. From Africa I saw an ill omened spectra approach our land. It flitted slowly and heavily over every town and city of the latter. The inhabitants presently set themselves in battle array against each other. As I continued look I saw a bright angel on whose brow was traced the word 'Union.' He was bearing the American flag. He placed the flag between the divided nation and said,

"Remember, ye are brethren. "

Instantly the inhabitants, casting down their weapons became friends once more, and united around the National Standard.

Again I heard a mysterious voice saying,

"Son of the Republic, look and learn."

At this the dark, shadowy angel placed a trumpet to his mouth, and blew three distinct blasts; and taking water from the ocean, he sprinkled it upon Europe, Asia, and Africa.

Then my eyes beheld a fearful scene. From each of these continents arose thick black clouds that were soon joined into one. And throughout this mass there gleamed a dark red light by which I saw hordes of armed men. These men, moving with the cloud marched by land and sailed by sea to America, which country was enveloped in the volume of the cloud. And I dimly saw these vast armies devastate the whole country and burn the villages, towns and cities, which I had seen spring up.

As my ears listened to the thundering of the cannon, clashing of swords, and the shouts and cries of millions in mortal combat, I again heard the mysterious voice saying,

"Son of the Republic, look and learn."

When the voice had ceased, the dark shadowy angel placed his trumpet once more to his mouth, and blew a long and fearful blast. Instantly a light, as of a thousand suns shone down from above me, and pierced and broke into fragments of the dark cloud, which enveloped America. At the same moment the angel upon whose head still shown the word 'Union,' and who bore our national flag in one hand and a sword in the other, descended from the heavens attended by legions of white spirits. These immediately joined the inhabitants of America, who I perceived were well-nigh over come, but who immediately taking courage again, closed up their broken ranks, and renewed battle.

Again amid the fearful voice of the conflict I heard the mysterious voice say,

"Son of the Republic, look and learn."

As the voice ceased, the shadowy angel for the last time dipped the water from the ocean and sprinkled it upon America. Instantly the dark clouds rolled back, together with the armies it had brought, leaving the inhabitants of the land victorious.

Then once more I beheld the villages, towns and cities springing up where I had seem them before, while the bright angel, planting the azure standard cried with a loud voice:

"While the stars remain, and the heavens send down dew upon the earth, so long shall the Union last."

And taking from his brow the crown, which blazoned the word 'Union,' he placed it down upon the standard while the people, kneeling down said, 'Amen.'

The scene instantly began to fade and dissolve, and I at last saw nothing but the rising, curling vapor, I at first beheld. This also disappeared, and I found myself once more gazing upon the mysterious visitor who, in the same voice I heard before said,

"Son of the Republic, what you have seen is thus interpreted: Three great perils will come upon the Republic. The most fearful for her is the third. But the whole world united shall not prevail against her. Let every child of the Republic learn to live for his God, his land and Union."

With these words the vision vanished, and I started from my seat and felt that I had seen a vision wherein had been showed me the birth, progress, and destiny of the United States."

No more are these words by C.S. Lewis more appropriate than on the 50^th anniversary of the death of Josef Stalin, March 5, 2003. Stalin’s shade still lingers to darken even the brightest democracy, living on in the "omnipotent moral busybodies" about whom Lewis wrote.

Stalin’s police state controlled all aspects of daily life, from the macroscopic to the microscopic. His personal will, his tastes, his ideals, and his goals were imposed on everyone and everything. He brooked no challenges to his authority nor tolerated dissent.

The state decided what literary and cultural works could be published. The state decided what artwork was allowed to be displayed, what music could be performed, what poems could be read, what editorials could be written, what ideas could be expressed. The state even decided what signs could be displayed in shop windows.

It’s easy to condemn demagogues and dictators. Their arrogance - evident in every manifestation of their will - makes them obvious targets for moral outrage. But far more insidious are Lewis’ "omnipotent moral busybodies," those kind, well-meaning benevolent but unrelenting dictators who would control and repress us "for our own good." They are Stalin’s descendants, carrying his torch to future generations.

In a democracy - even in a republic where there are more controls - sometimes the rights of the minority are repressed for the "greater good." Such is the case in laws that require seatbelts while driving, non-smoking in public places, and helmets for motorcyclists. There is simply a far greater good in maintaining these laws than any perceived damage done to individual "rights."

Lewis also said,

"The very idea of freedom presupposes some objective moral law which overarches rulers and ruled alike. Subjectivism about values is eternally incompatible with democracy."

Personal taste is not public good: it is subjectivism, the antithesis of democracy. Personal agendas do not benefit liberty: they hinder it. They open the door for Stalinism to creep in. Pretty soon it’s dictatorship by committee - committees peopled with well-meaning, dedicated but unelected members whose goals are to enforce their own personal vision of utopia. They erect increasingly restrictive rules that slowly squeeze the life out of a community and bleed it until it is colourless.

Those laws and bylaws that hamper and constrict businesses, clamp down on dissent, free speech and free expression are often created to further some publicly stated goal like "beautification." But they really mean "uniformity." They strip the living skin off democracy in order to pound all the square pegs in the community into the committee’s round holes.

Language bylaws in Quebec do this with remarkable efficiency. They have reduced a brilliant, glittering and attractive multicultural society into a dreary monochrome French one. The richness that was once Montreal is now impoverished by monoculture, in the same way a planted "forest" of one species of tree is poor. Language laws broke the bones of liberty in Quebec.

On a municipal scale, sign bylaws that try to remake the community into an image of some besotted nineteenth-century caricature are similar in their effect. They reduce the joyous clamour of capitalism into a dreary lookalike contest, all because a few well-meaning members of a committee decided it was in the "best interests" of all merchants to be hamstrung by this imperfect vision of the past.

Ironically, anyone looking at photographs of the period they want to emulate will find it doesn’t conform at all to the Disney-like daydream of these committees. It was dirty, bustling, cluttered, unregulated and exuberantly capitalist. Quite opposite to the sterile imagery foisted on merchants and businesses today. What the do-gooders really want is not some visual utopia, but rather uniformity and conformity - Stalin’s dream, Stalin's legacy.

Non-conforming shops signs and highway signs have become the unwitting voice of dissent and protest against those who would impose such uniformity on us. Signs are the bastion against the greying of the community, the bulwark to prevent being bulldozed by the dull monotones imposed by our "omnipotent moral busybodies." No matter to these busybodies that free expression is a right guaranteed by our Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

One only needs to look at that pinnacle of civilization, the suburb, to realize the evils of uniformity and the numbing impact conformity has on the human spirit. A vital, vibrant community is not a uniform one.

In Civil Disobedience, Henry David Thoreau wrote,

"I heartily accept the motto, ‘That government is best which governs least’; and I should like to see it acted up to more rapidly and systematically. Carried out, it finally amounts to this, which also I believe -"That government is best which governs not at all"; and when men are prepared for it, that will be the kind of government which they will have."

Governments should govern less. We are massively, horrendously over-governed in all aspects of our lives and commerce. Excessive government leads to Stalinism, to enforced uniformity that chokes the life out of the people.

Anywhere that freedom of expression is curtailed by the state, anywhere that members of the state can impose their personal tastes and ideals on the citizenry at large, Stalin still lurks in the background. Anywhere where the state forces conformity in art, culture, publishing - and even shop signs - Stalin lives on.

Our personal freedoms are fragile and easily lost through negligence. We should never forget Stalin nor cease to oppose his cohorts of "omnipotent moral busybodies" lest we lose our freedom altogether.

The philosopher John Stuart Mill eloquently elucidated the importance of free speech in his essay On Liberty:

"The peculiar evil of silencing the expression of an opinion is that it is robbing the human race, posterity, as well as the existing generation; those who dissent from the opinion, still more than those who hold it. If the opinion is right, they are deprived of the opportunity of exchanging error for truth: if wrong, they lose, what is almost as great a benefit, the clearer perception and livelier impression of truth, produced by its collision with error."

Excuse my mastery of the obvious, but I have to believe the greatest obstacle to America's return to policy sanity is the electorate's cultish adoration of Barack Obama.

If it weren't for this disturbing phenomenon -- not to discount a healthy dose of blind partisanship -- it is inconceivable that the majority of people would tolerate Obama's dismantling of America's free market system, his returning America to a pre-9/11 mindset against terrorists, his increasing usurpations of power, and his corrupt ties and practices, from the public funding of ACORN to the summary dismissal of the case against the Black Panthers to his firing of inspector general Gerald Walpin apparently for uncovering corruption by Obama's friends.

I don't quite understand how people, especially religious people, can place their trust for salvation in a fellow mortal, but history shows they do, and present-day America shows they are. From MSNBC's Chris Matthews' admitting Obama sends a thrill up his leg to audience members' fainting at his speeches to young girls' kissing his statue like brainless bookends, the trend continues unabated.

Even some not entranced by his supposed charisma are indirectly affected by it, evidenced by their unbounded willingness to give him the benefit of every doubt. They are impervious to his narcissism, indifferent to his megalomaniacal pursuit of power, ceaselessly forgiving of his childish scapegoating of the previous administration, and oblivious to his extremism.

The mainstream media are his biggest institutional enablers, drooling over his every utterance, irrespective of his many contradictions, his assaults on the Constitution and our liberties, and his spate of broken promises.
"So what?" you say. "The MSM are ends-justify-the-means liberals who believe exactly as he does. Of course they ignore his unprecedented expansions of government, his deceit in furtherance of accomplishing a radical liberal agenda of which they approve, his opportunistic breaches of promises, and his nose thumbing at the Constitution."

True, but there's more to it than that. The media's fixation with Obama transcends their shared ideology, and I'm not just referring to Evan Thomas' deification of Obama. Did you see the CNSNews.com interview of Chris Matthews (sorry to bring him up again)? I knew he was a Kool-Aid drinker, but this was embarrassing.

When the correspondent asked Matthews whether Obama still sends a thrill up his leg, he replied: "I have a feeling about my country. When he talked about it, I was inspired."

Then came the scary part. Asked whether the press should give Obama more scrutiny, he said: "I think we have to question the numbers â€¦ the amount of money that's been printed and the size of the deficits and the addition to the debt, and that's pretty scary. These are huge numbers. We're going to have a debt by the end of the first term that's equal to our entire economy. Think about that. That has to be paid off â€¦ (with) tremendous costs to the taxpayer. â€¦ It's scary."

The long quote is helpful to illustrate that Matthews fully appreciates -- intellectually -- the danger to America's solvency that Obama's policies represent. Despite that, he added this non sequitur: "I love my country, and he talks about my country â€¦ in a way that inspires me, and he thrilled me. I'm very proud of that. â€¦ I mean it. â€¦ I hope it continues."

So Matthews is scared that Obama is spending the country he says he loves into bankruptcy but hopes he keeps talking in a way that inspires him. Can this be explained rationally?

Of course not. But that's the point. Cultish attraction destroys logic, reason and sound judgment.

Nor can rational thought explain the serial applauses from Obama's American Medical Association audience as he told them he is going to place the square peg of socialized medicine into the round hole of improving quality and decreasing costs -- all without diminishing patient choice or physician authority.

Then consider the American Jewish community, which still overwhelmingly supports Obama despite his egregious displays of disrespect toward Israel, its history, its moral position and its fundamental right to national defense. And there are large segments of the Christian community -- Catholic and evangelical -- that either lie to themselves about Obama's depraved, militant position in supporting even partial-birth abortion or compartmentalize it into artificial irrelevance.

And how about rank-and-file Democrats who consider themselves fiscally conservative? Partisan loyalties notwithstanding, how can they sit by idly as they watch Obama's spending horror show unfold? How can they delude themselves into believing this obscene and insane spending -- guaranteed to financially, and maybe politically, enslave our children -- can ever be justified?

At some point, the spell will dissipate. The question is whether that will happen in time to prevent irreversible damage to this nation.

Jobs Will Continue To Be Lost As Obahma Crushes Capitalism

Every move that Obama has made since becoming President is destroying jobs.

Only a retard would argue that higher costs for business are a way to create jobs. What rational human being is going to argue that.

higher costs because of Obama is good for business?

Besides, Obama's stimulus plan will not create jobs. Paying $200 billion for Medicaid will NOT create jobs. $726 million for after school snack programs will NOT create jobs. $2 billion for the parks service will NOT create jobs. $50 million for the NEA will NOT create jobs.

Here's something else the liberals and political hacks aren't smart enough to see, people: what happens when all of that government funding dries up? Any jobs created through the construction projects will DISAPPEAR!

Don't these liberals understand that? What will happen in 2 years? All those construction jobs--jobs to make things that do NOT need to be made--will disappear.

Then what we will have? We will have mass layoffs--AGAIN--and we will have $825 BILLION in debt plus interest expense on a failed program.

Obama is going to push millions of jobs out of the country. Why would any business owner in his right mind stay in America and have the Democrats steal more and more of his money every year if he could just move someplace more appreciative of him and his hard work?

I said this before. Corporations are going to get tired of being jerked around and having the Feds dictate their every whim. I see potential for a unified effort by Corporations large and small to say OK, Obama you wanna play? How about we bite off our nose to spite our face. We will not hire anyone period! What is the messiah going to then?

Force companies to higher or else? Maybe…Maybe it’s a good thing; gang pile on the Washington hacks and their omni potent moral busy body Leader Obama.

At some point we will have to stop counting how many workers that lose their jobs each month because the numbers might actually equalize with the number of those who have given up looking for a job or have run out of unemployment insurance altogether.

Then at that point it would be more accurate to count how many jobs are left, not counting Federal employees.

Many States are headed for slashing state jobs (the touchy feely ones) because there is no money flowing into the states in a useful way. What good does it do to spend 12 million dollars in Iowa (6 jobs) to study cow flatulence and the effect of methane on global warming? How does that keep the cop on the beat or keep a killer locked up? How does that fill a pot hole?

Then like the keystone cops on acid. Our illustrious Liberal Democrats want SCREW UP part II with lap dog Joe Biden: ‘We Have to Go Spend Money to Keep From Going Bankrupt'. In some twisted logic he is probably the most honest nut job in the Administration.

It turns out we were right: The provision would indeed outlaw individual private coverage. Under the Orwellian header of "Protecting The Choice To Keep Current Coverage," the "Limitation On New Enrollment" section of the bill clearly states:

"Except as provided in this paragraph, the individual health insurance issuer offering such coverage does not enroll any individual in such coverage if the first effective date of coverage is on or after the first day" of the year the legislation becomes law.

So we can all keep our coverage, just as promised — with, of course, exceptions: Those who currently have private individual coverage won't be able to change it. Nor will those who leave a company to work for themselves be free to buy individual plans from private carriers.

From the beginning, opponents of the public option plan have warned that if the government gets into the business of offering subsidized health insurance coverage, the private insurance market will wither. Drawn by a public option that will be 30% to 40% cheaper than their current premiums because taxpayers will be funding it, employers will gladly scrap their private plans and go with Washington's coverage.

The nonpartisan Lewin Group estimated in April that 120 million or more Americans could lose their group coverage at work and end up in such a program. That would leave private carriers with 50 million or fewer customers. This could cause the market to, as Lewin Vice President John Sheils put it, "fizzle out altogether."

What wasn't known until now is that the bill itself will kill the market for private individual coverage by not letting any new policies be written after the public option becomes law.

The legislation is also likely to finish off health savings accounts, a goal that Democrats have had for years. They want to crush that alternative because nothing gives individuals more control over their medical care, and the government less, than HSAs.

With HSAs out of the way, a key obstacle to the left's expansion of the welfare state will be removed.

The public option won't be an option for many, but rather a mandate for buying government care. A free people should be outraged at this advance of soft tyranny.

Washington does not have the constitutional or moral authority to outlaw private markets in which parties voluntarily participate. It shouldn't be killing business opportunities, or limiting choices, or legislating major changes in Americans' lives.

It took just 16 pages of reading to find this naked attempt by the political powers to increase their reach. It's scary to think how many more breaches of liberty we'll come across in the final 1,002.

WASHINGTON – Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor firmly denied racial bias Tuesday at her Senate confirmation hearing and said an oft-criticized remark about her Hispanic heritage affecting judicial decisions was a rhetorical device gone awry.

An attempted play on words "fell flat" in a speech in 2001, Sotomayor told Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., referring to remarks in which she suggested that a "wise Latina woman" would usually reach a better conclusion than a white male.

"It was bad because it left an impression that I believed that life experiences commanded a result in a case, but that's clearly not what I do as a judge," Sotomayor said.

Sessions, the senior Republican on the Judiciary Committee, sounded unconvinced.

"As a judge who has taken this oath, I am very troubled that you would repeatedly over a decade or more make statements" like the one in 2001, he said.

On her first day of questioning, Sotomayor stopped just shy of saying that the right to abortion was settled law, said she would bring no preconceived notions to the high court on gun rights and explained a ruling recently overturned in the case of white New Haven, Conn., firefighters.

Republicans questioned Sotomayor closely, sometimes challenging her answers, on the second day of hearings. However, Democrats command a strong majority in the Senate as well as on the committee, and there appeared little or no doubt about her eventual confirmation as the first Hispanic to sit on the high court.

Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., the committee chairman, told reporters Sotomayor would be confirmed and added, "I'm convinced it will not be a party-line vote."

During the questioning, Sotomayor leaned into the table in front of her and spoke deliberately. She used her hands to reinforce her words, raising and lowering them to the table with palms flat and fingers extended. She scribbled notes to herself as senators spoke and bobbed her head to underscore her statements in reply.

On an issue faced by all high court nominees, Sotomayor said the Constitution contains a right to privacy, a forerunner of the right to abortion that the high court first outlined in its 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling.

Questioned by Sen. Herb Kohl, D-Wis., she said the right to abortion is "the Supreme Court's settled interpretation of what the core holding is," as affirmed in a separate 1992 ruling.

The issue of abortion rights has been central to Supreme Court confirmation fights for two decades or more, and with her statement Sotomayor came close to saying the issue was settled law but stopped short of that flat declaration.

Moments later, in response to a question by Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, she said, "All precedents of the Supreme Court I consider settled law subject to" a great deal of deference but not absolute.

Asked by Leahy about cases involving gun rights, Sotomayor's response was more akin to a candidate's than a nominee for the high court.

"Like, you, I understand how important the right to bear arms is to many, many Americans," she said. "In fact, one of my godchildren is a member of the NRA and I have friends who hunt," she said, adding she would have an open mind.

Sotomayor found common cause with Republicans on one issue.

When Hatch condemned the liberal group People for The American Way for its criticism of a New Haven, Conn., firefighter who figures in a key court case, Sotomayor said such action was "reprehensible" and nothing she would tolerate.

The committee schedule called for Sotomayor to field questions for hours as senators took 30-minute turns. Democrats were protective, occasionally offering her opportunities to counter her critics.

Kohl noted, for example, that in 17 years as a trial and appeals court judge, Sotomayor had rarely been overturned by the Supreme Court.

And he asked her sympathetically about an appeals court ruling that she joined that was recently reversed by the high court, in a case involving white firefighters in New Haven, Conn. He noted it was a 5-4 decision, and said, "Do you agree it was a close case and could have been decided one way or the other."

She replied, "To the extent that reasonable minds can differ on any case, that's true."

Leahy was the first to ask about the "wise Latina" comment that has sparked so much controversy.

"I want to state upfront, unequivocally and without doubt: I do not believe that any racial, ethnic or gender group has an advantage in sound judging," Sotomayor said. "I do believe that every person has an equal opportunity to be a good and wise judge, regardless of their background or life experiences."

Leahy also raised the recent case about New Haven firefighters, in which the Supreme Court said white firefighters were wronged when the city threw out the results of a promotion exam because too few minorities did well.

She said the appeals court reached its decision because of precedent at the Supreme Court and at least onecircuit court of appeals. But she said the ruling was overturned by the Supreme Court on the basis of a different standard.

She said she would "absolutely" have reached a different result in light of the Supreme Court's reversal.

President Barack Obama nominated Sotomayor to replace Justice David Souter, who retired last month.

While Souter was appointed by a Republican, President George H.W. Bush, he frequently sided with the court's liberal bloc on controversial issues such as abortion and affirmative action.

As a result, if confirmed, Sotomayor appears unlikely to alter the court's balance of power on those issues.

CNSNews.com) – Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor ruled in January 2009 that states do not have to obey the Second Amendment’s commandment that the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

In Maloney v. Cuomo, Sotomayor signed an opinion of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit that said the Second Amendment does not protect individuals from having their right to keep and bear arms restricted by state governments.

The opinion said that the Second Amendment only restricted the federal government from infringing on an individual's right to keep and bear arms. As justification for this position, the opinion cited the 1886 Supreme Court case of Presser v. Illinois.

“It is settled law, however, that the Second Amendment applies only to limitations the federal government seeks to impose on this right,” said the opinion. Quoting Presser, the court said, “it is a limitation only upon the power of Congress and the national government, and not upon that of the state.”

The Maloney v. Cuomo case involved James Maloney, who had been arrested for possessing a pair of nunchuks. New York law prohibits the possession of nunchuks, even though they are often used in martial arts training and demonstrations.

The meaning of the Second Amendment has rarely been addressed by the Supreme Court. But in the 2008 case of Heller v. District of Columbia, the high court said that the right to keep and bear arms was a natural right of all Americans and that the Second Amendment guaranteed that right to everyone.

The Second Amendment, the Supreme Court ruled, “guarantee(s) the right of the individual to possess and carry weapons in case of confrontation. The very text of the Second Amendment implicitly recognizes the pre-existence of the right and declares only that it ‘shall not be infringed.’”

“There seems to us no doubt,” the Supreme Court said, “that the Second Amendment conferred an individual right to keep and bear arms.”

Sotomayor, however, said that even though the Heller decision held that the right to keep and bear arms was a natural right--and therefore could not be justly denied to a law-abiding citizen by any government, federal, state or local--the Second Circuit was still bound by the 1886 case, because Heller only dealt indirectly with the issue before her court.

“And to the extent that Heller might be read to question the continuing validity of this principle, we must follow Presser because where, as here, a Supreme Court precedent has direct application in a case, yet appears to rest on reasons rejected in some other line of decisions, the Court of Appeals should follow the case which [it] directly controls.”

In its 2008 case, the Supreme Court’s took a different view of its own 1886 case, saying that Presser had no bearing on anything beyond a state’s ability to outlaw private militia groups.

“Presser said nothing about the Second Amendment’s meaning or scope, beyond the fact that it does not prevent the prohibition of private paramilitary organizations,” the court ruled. “This does not refute the individual-rights interpretation of the Amendment.”

The Second Amendment is the only part of the Bill of Rights that the Supreme Court has not specifically extended to the states through a process known as incorporation, which involves interpreting the Fourteenth Amendment to read that no state can deprive its citizens of federally guaranteed rights.

The Fourteenth Amendment reads, in part: “No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States … nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”

Sotomayor’s decision rejected the Fourteenth Amendment’s incorporation doctrine as far as Second Amendment was concerned, saying any legislation that could provide a “conceivable” reason would be upheld by her court.

“We will uphold legislation if we can identify some reasonably conceived state of facts that could provide a rational basis for the legislative action. Legislative acts that do not interfere with fundamental rights … carry with them a strong presumption of constitutionality,” the appeals court concluded. “The Fourteenth Amendment,” she wrote, “provides no relief.”

Sotomayor’s ruling ran to the left of even the reliably liberal San Francisco-based U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, which ruled in the April 2009 case Nordyke v. King that the Second Amendment did, in fact, apply to the states via the Fourteenth Amendment, heavily citing the Supreme Court in Heller.

“We therefore conclude that the right to keep and bear arms is deeply rooted in this Nation’s history and tradition,” said the Ninth Circuit court of Appeals. “We are therefore persuaded that the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment incorporates the Second Amendment and applies it against the states and local governments.”

Gun Week Senior Editor Dave Workman told CNSNews.com that the Nordyke and Maloney decisions are at odds and the Supreme Court, possibly with a Justice Sotomayor, may soon sort them out.

“Whenever you have a conflict like this, you’re likely to have it end up before the Supreme Court so they can decide the issue. If the Second Amendment is incorporated into the states, it’s going to jeopardize thousands of local gun laws, and the people who supported those gun laws are just freaked about that.”

He's pushing for more tax increases, record deficits, and carbon taxes. More jobs will be lost.

As of the end of May, only 6% of Obama's $787 billion "stimulus" had been spent. Starting in March, many economists said the economy was turning around, that the recession was easing. I believe they are right. Obama's massive "stimulus" had nothing to do with it. He's trying to take credit for it, though.

Obama has now promised to "create or save" 600,000 jobs in 100 days. Members of his administration admit there is no way to measure how many jobs were "saved" by his programs.

College graduates are now flooding into the job market. The unemployment rate will surely surpass 10% in two or three months.

The Chinese continue to express grave doubts about the future of the United States because of massive Democrat borrowing. The budget deficit for fiscal year 2009 is now estimated to be $1.8 trillion. That is 4 times higher than last fiscal year's budget deficit under Bush.

Obama's spending:

$787 billion
+ $410 billion omnibus spending (including almost 9,000 earmarks Obama promised to oppose)
+ $350 billion TARP being spent by Obama
= $1.547 trillion spent by Obama in the four months since being inaugurated.

Banks are lining up to repay the TARP money they got under Bush--they didn't really need it. Since that money is being repaid, there is now way you can assign that portion of Bush's spending to the 2009 budget deficit since it is coming back. That money is being repaid with interest.

The Chinese have grave doubts about the future of the United States because of the Democrats' deficit spending. They are looking to get out of US dollars. What will be the result of Democrat deficit spending?

* Higher taxes on everyone
* High inflation
* High interest rates
* More job loss
* Weak, if non-existant, economic growth

These things will kill the economy. There is only so much money out there to be borrowed. In order to borrow at such high levels, interest rates throughout the entire economy will have to rise. The government will not be able to borrow at 3% like it has been doing the past few years. When the interest rates on treasuries goes up, interest rates on all debt including mortgages goes up. Values of all investments goes down.

How can you Democrats not see this?
